Baglietto Yachts in Italy launched two yachts in two days in late May. The 124-foot Enterprise and the 133-foot Attitude are both reportedly on track for on-time completion and delivery.

Attitude is the first hull in Baglietto’s DOM133 series, and one of five DOM133 hulls that are reportedly sold and under construction at the yard. Delivery is expected this summer, with a public debut at September’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

Enterprise is a custom, all-aluminum build on a new platform. Baglietto designed Enterprise in collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski Design, with project management by Roni Meshoulam.

The owner says his vision is to “break the mold” and “create something innovative” with the 440-gross-ton, high-volume transatlantic yacht. Enterprise is expected to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

What else is happening at Baglietto? The yard plans to expand its military-sector work, with a Baglietto Navy brand that now includes two vessels under construction for the Italian Navy.

Baglietto Yachts in Italy has launched Hull No. 2 of its DOM 133 line. The 131-foot motoryacht is named Attitude.

Camper & Nicholsons International released information about the launch of the yacht, which was sold by senior sales broker Fernando Nicholson.

The DOM 133 series is named for the Latin word for home: “domus.” Exteriors are by Stefano Vafiadis, whose studio is in Rome. Interiors are by Ezequiel Fracas.

Onboard design elements include sole-to-ceiling windows, a panoramic glass staircase and a two-level beach club with a pool.

Draft is 6 feet, 10 inches for cruising in most waters. Baglietto says maximum speed is 17 knots, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 15 knots.

How many guests does Attitude accommodate? There are five staterooms for 10 guests. The master spans the 28-foot-6-inch beam and has an office and walk-in closet.

The Baglietto shipyard in Italy has announced an update to its 213-foot concept yacht that was conceived in partnership with designer Francesco Paszkowski.

Shown for the first time last year, the concept yacht has darkened windows, an upper-deck pool with a transparent sole, and a “winter garden” that connects the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The floodable garage can house a 33-foot tender, and an after area with side doors can become a beach club, gymnasium or pool when the tender is launched. Nearby are a sauna, hammam and other spa spaces.

How many guests could stay aboard? The layout has overnight accommodations for 12.

Big-Game, Big Yacht https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/baglietto-43m-explorer/ Tue, 23 Jul 2019 21:39:06 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=55111 The Baglietto 43m was designed with the global angler in mind.

Baglietto says its new 43m Explorer is a “sportfishing” mega-yacht.

For the avid angler, who likes comfort when not chasing down dinner, there is room for a 28-foot sportfisherman and a 20-foot tender on the yacht’s upper deck’s after section.

Speaking of the upper deck (and comfort), there is about 645 square feet of real estate here dedicated to the master stateroom with a view forward through three rectangular windows. There’s also a studio, a dressing room and a his-and-her head.

This 140-foot explorer vessel will be built with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Design inspiration comes from a combination of other yachts, work boats and even warships.

The 43m Explorer can be tailored to an owner’s wants and needs, and most of the exterior is built modular, including an outdoor dining area on the upper deck that can be enclosed with sliding glass doors, allowing for an array of layout options.

There is an upper-deck helm with three forward-facing seats, and above this space is a sun deck with a furnished sunbed area, accessible via an external staircase.

The main deck has a full-beam salon with ceiling-high windows. Because the tender and sportfisherman reside on the after section of the upper deck, this version of the 43m Explorer replaces its main-deck garage with a shaded conversation space. That space is also connected to the swim platform for easy water access.

Belowdecks, there are four guest staterooms, each with en suite heads, and two cabins for crew. There is also a wine cellar on this deck, and owners can choose its size and capacity. The sportfishing version of this vessel also comes with a cold room for stowing your catch.

Powered with twin 1,450 hp Caterpillar C32 Acert diesels, the 43m Explorer should reach a reported top speed of 15 knots. The builder says the yacht has a 5,000 nautical-mile range at 11 knots and 5,500 nm at 10 knots on its 13,200-gallon fuel tank.

An Italian Mega-Yacht with a Flair for Entertaining https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/italian-mega-yacht-with-flair-for-entertaining/ Tue, 26 Mar 2019 02:00:00 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=53301 Baglietto's 157-foot T-Line Silver Fox is a sleek combination of indoor and outdoor spaces.

It’s hard to stand out at the Monaco Yacht Show. The event is a veritable cornucopia of conspicuous consumption, and around every twist and turn is a mega-yacht, a gleaming McLaren and maybe even a crown prince. And yet, even in that environment, Baglietto’s 157-foot T-Line was one of the most talked about and openly admired yachts.

The Italian build has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and weighs in at just shy of 500 gross tons. She is the sistership of Baglietto’s Andiamo, a 2017 launch that sold to a Mexican owner. Silver Fox too has been sold.

“This sale,” says Alessandro Diomedi, Baglietto’s sales director, “is a further demonstration of the good quality of the 48m displacement project, which has been developed on a very stable and efficient hull. This vessel perfectly combines ample inside volumes, great outdoor areas with an elegant but sporty line. This latest construction offers improved outdoor areas like the beach club, the perfect space for the owner to enjoy the sea with his family and friends.”

Baglietto 157-Foot T-Line Top
The Baglietto 48M T-Line has a beam of 31 feet 2 inches, which allows for interior entertainment space as well as exterior side decks wide enough for crew to use them safely and discreetly. Courtesy Baglietto

Like her sistership Andiamo, Silver Fox has exteriors by longtime Baglietto collaborator Francesco Paszkowski. The Italian designer imbued this build with lines that are at once graceful and forceful — her slightly downward-sloping bow deck conjures images of a torpedo in motion. The two windows on each hull side are elongated parallelograms that make her profile sleeker, a design task that is no small feat considering that she is a trideck. The windows are also intended to foster a more direct relationship between the yacht’s interior and her marine environment.

Perhaps the optimal place aboard this yacht is the sun deck, which has 1,506 square feet of outdoor space. An infinity pool at the after end invites an elevated dip. The pool is complemented by an outdoor shower to port and three chaise longues just forward. An alfresco dining table for 12 is farther forward, shaded around amidships by the yacht’s hardtop. (Another alfresco dining table can be found on the deck just below, but I think this one will likely end up being the favorite.) An outdoor bar is nearby, with a sun pad for the bronzed and beautiful. Seating with a view ahead, over the bow, is far forward on the sun deck.

A second area of interest for outdoor time is Silver Fox‘s beach club. It’s 505 square feet with well-executed amenities including a steam shower, a wet bar, and an interior area that can be outfitted as a spa or gym. Twin stairways bracket the space and lead to the cockpit, making the whole stern available for guest relaxation. (Four tenders and toys stow on the foredeck near a guest lounge, keeping the beach club free of crew operations, for the exclusive use of guests.)

Baglietto 157-Foot T-Line Interior
In addition to having five staterooms for up to 12 guests, this Baglietto has quarts for nine crew. There’s also a luggage room for everyone’s bags. Courtesy Baglietto

This yacht’s interior is by Baglietto’s in-house team, and the creature comforts extend to surprising places. The helm has reverse-angle glazing to aid in sightlines, while the captain’s quarters have the same finish as the rest of the yacht, with rich Italian Canaletto walnut providing an elegant and masculine air. The galley has four Miele cooktops as well as an enchanting touch: a small herb garden in the window to port. Fresh basil, anyone?

The Baglietto Interior Design team is responsible for the interiorss aboard Silver Fox. A Canaletto walnut pattern is used for the soles in the guest spaces, with accents of gold, bronze and cream-colored leather. On the walls in the accommodations are irregular cuts of inlaid wood, further demonstrating the capabilities of the Baglietto yard’s craftsmen. Courtesy Baglietto

Silver Fox sleeps 12 guests in five staterooms, including a main-deck master with that same Italian walnut, as well as touches of gold and bronze that continue throughout the yacht’s interior. Two VIPs as well as twin-berth staterooms with Pullman berths are on the lower level.

A pair of brawny 2,250 hp Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines are housed in an immaculate engine room with plenty of space and access points. This yacht can hit a top speed of 16 knots, and she cruises at 12 knots — with a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles. She could cruise from the Mediterranean to Miami without refueling, in a style high enough to impress hard-to-impress people anywhere in the world.

When the beam of a yacht is a hair wider than 34 feet, as this Baglietto’s is, the interior designers have room to get creative. Baglietto

Look at the rug in the photograph above and think about how it might feel under your bare feet. Or consider the armchairs. How might those fabric weaves feel to the touch?

Hot Lab, which is handling interior design on Baglietto’s forthcoming 177-footer (delivery is expected in 2020), says the owner wanted a fresh, informal feeling in the salon and outdoor areas — where younger members of the owners’ family are expected to congregate. Private spaces, including the six guest staterooms on the main and bottom decks, as well as the formal dining room in the sky lounge, are reportedly more elegant and refined.

Also note the way the sofas are placed inboard, allowing not only for traffic corridors, but also for natural light to enter through the sole-to-ceiling windows.

One word sums up the Baglietto 48M: details.

Details like the beautifully book-matched Italian walnut paneling paired with touches of gold and bronze and Canaletto walnut soles in the lounging and dining areas. Luxurious flourishes like these are readily apparent throughout this 157-footer, which will make her stateside debut at the Miami Yacht Show and Palm Beach International Boat Show.

On both decks, the yacht has geometric shapes in the form of creamy leather on the walls and irregular wood inlays. The effect is that of a modern Manhattan penthouse. It’s at once warm yet contemporary.

Baglietto Yachts
Dream about your next never-ending cruise through clean waters and blue skies. Baglietto Yachts

The same can be said for this mega-yacht’s lines penned by Francesco Paszkowski Design. The 48M’s aesthetic blends the best of traditional and modern design into a sleek profile, a look that hearkens back to the planing yachts that made Baglietto so well-known. Note her furrowed brow created by the reverse-raked windows on the main deck, combined with her lean-forward look and fine entry. It’s aggressive. It’s chic. It’s all in the details.

A constant connection to the sea was built into her design with an abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows.

The beach club exemplifies that connection and is a point of pride for the builder. It offers 506 square feet of space to unwind in multiple ways at the water’s edge. There’s the casually cool and comfortable lounge facing straight out to sea complete with a bar. The fold-down transom creates extra sunning and seating space to entertain. Just inside from the lounge is room for a gym or massage area or, if you prefer, ask the shipyard to turn the entire beach club into a spa.

And those water toys? They stow out of the way on the foredeck, readily accessible but not using valuable living space. Details.

With nearly 3,770 square feet of luxury areas throughout her decks, the Baglietto 48M stands out for her extensive alfresco spaces. One of the best views in the house is up on the sun deck. Encompassing more than 1,506 square feet, it’s the ultimate aerie to take in your anchorage. The infinity pool positioned fully aft is certain to attract admiring glances from fellow yacht owners. Large comfortable sun pads flank it, so several guests can spend the afternoon together. In addition, thanks to the bar and dining table, you can relax and enjoy sundowners and dinner on this deck.

Baglietto Yachts
Stunning shape, unique tradition and trade mark, cutting-edge materials in one word: Baglietto Baglietto Yachts

The Baglietto 48M is engineered for a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a 12-knot cruise. Her twin 2,250 hp Caterpillar engines also allow her to reach a top speed of 16 knots comfortably. Speaking of comfortable, the anti-roll stabilization system works while underway and at anchor.

Don’t miss the Baglietto 48M’s debut at the 2019 Miami Yacht Show, February 14 – 18 and the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 28 – 31 2019, where those details will be on full display.

“This is a yacht that continues our tradition, yet takes advantage of new and innovative solutions which make her unique: the big windows, for instance, foster a perfect harmony between indoor and outdoor areas, with the sundeck as a Baglietto trademark,” Michele Gavino, Baglietto CEO, stated in a press release. “And the new beach club perfectly responds to the customer’s desire for direct access to the sea.”

The sundeck alone spans more than 1,500 square feet, and is clear of tenders and toys, which are housed on the foredeck. Other guest spaces include four belowdecks staterooms along with a main-deck master. The interior décor is done in walnut with gold and bronze flourishes.
